A combination of demonstration, political statement, party and celebration, the local CSD, Christopher Street Day, in Düsseldorf has long been well established in the state capital.

A stage is prominently placed across from the state parliament buildings next to the Rhine promenade. As always, a great crowd attends from the LGBTI community and beyond.
