The largest shopping mall in central Düsseldorf is the elegant Kö Galerie. Richly designed using generous marble and bronze elements its core reflects the elegant, extravagant style of the mid 1980s. Home to a large and varied number of impressive stores, the mall is ideally located on the Königsallee with access from all sides, a food court plus extensive parking below. 

The mall introduced a viable alternative to many controversial centres built on city peripheries. Two visionary local figures were key in creating a new upscale mall on this famous avenue.
