City Flea Market
The city flea market, Citytrödelmarkt, in Neuss takes place on two occasions each year. The first is in May on Mothering Sunday, the second on a Sunday in September. Stands can be found all along the high street and around Markt. The event has a long standing tradition and offers a terrific atmosphere for lovers of the hunt. Since a high proportion of those presenting their wares are private individuals, there are potentially great buys available to all.

Christopher Street Day
A combination of demonstration, political statement, party and celebration, the local CSD, Christopher Street Day, in Düsseldorf has become well established in the state capital. A stage is prominently placed across from the parliament buildings next to the Rhine promenade. As always, a great crowd attends from the LGBTI community and beyond.

A fascinating cartwheeling tournament has been held in Düsseldorf since the 1937. The annual event is held on the beautiful promenade alongside the river Rhine, attracting hundreds of children and families. The tradition of performing a cartwheel, Radschlag, has been around for many, many centuries and was originally performed openly on the streets by children as a sign of happiness and joy.
