On Sundays referred to as a "Verkaufsoffener Sonntag", rigid regulations are relaxed and stores allowed to open for special occasions. This one is the massive plastics and rubber trade fair "K". The world's largest of its kind, it attracts an enormous number of international visitors to the exhibition grounds of the Messe Düsseldorf and beyond.
Many shops will open their doors from 1 pm to 6 pm and the city will be full.
