France Festival

On or around Bastille Day it’s time for Düsseldorf to say say “Vive la France!”. Every year the city celebrates its amicable relations to “La Grande Nation” with the Düsseldorf France Festival, a fascinating and popular event.
The weekend creates an atmosphere of the fête nationale with its francophone community. French culinary specialities and amusements provide the necessary ambience when the old town, Altstadt, including the town hall courtyard is transformed into its own petit Paris.
Visitors to the festival enjoy French lifestyle and enjoy artisan produce such as cheeses, salamis, pates, oils, pastries, breads, crêpes and breads. Many partake of the excellent oysters too. Music, shows, acts and other entertainment round up an inspiring collection of attractions.
